Adding a Note

Take notes to stay informed, engaged, and conscientious with the people in your life.

On Mac and Web

In a card

  1. Click
    Add Note
    Add Note
     at the top or hit N
  2. Add your note and hit ⌘ ↵ to save

Or from anywhere else

  1. Click
    Add
    Add
     at the bottom left or type N
  2. Select or search for your contact
  3. Add your note and hit ⌘ ↵ to save

On iOS

From anywhere in the app

  1. Tap
    Add
    Add
     in the Tab bar

Pro Tip: There are two other ways to create notes—tap

and speak and Clay's smart voice-to-text software will add punctuation and recognize names, or double tap under Note and select the square with text button to scan in a business card or handwritten note.

Pro Tip: You can add a note from your iOS lock screen by holding down a pre-meeting notification until a popup appears.

Keyboard Shortcuts

G then I to open the Notes Collection

G then H to open the Reminders Collection

N to create a new note from anywhere within the app

In a card

N to create a new note

E to edit the highlighted note

# to delete the highlighted note

⌘ F to find something within the card
