Clay's Instagram integration lets you import followers, people you follow, or mutual connections directly into your relationship network. Instagram contacts are automatically enriched and made searchable alongside all your other connections, while important posts and life updates surface in your Home feed so you never miss meaningful moments.

Connecting Instagram
On Mac and Windows
- Go to the
App Menuicon in the top right, thenSettings - Under Integrations, select
Instagram - Choose who you want to sync — your followers, people you follow, mutual follows (you follow them, and they follow you back), or everyone (both followers and following)
- Follow the Instagram authentication flow
On iOS
- Go to the
App Menuicon in the top right, thenSettings - Under Integrations, tap

Do you support Instagram DMs?
Not at the moment, but this is something we're exploring!
Can I connect multiple Instagram accounts?
We don't currently support connecting multiple Instagram accounts simultaneously, but we're actively exploring this feature! In the meantime, here's a workaround to get contacts from two Instagram accounts into Clay:
- Open Clay and connect Instagram (if you haven't already)
- Log in to the first Instagram account
- Allow your contacts to fully sync to Clay
- Once synced, disconnect Instagram and select "Keep a Copy" when prompted
- Close Clay completely
- Log out of your first Instagram account
- Clear your browser's cache again
- Reopen Clay and reconnect Instagram
- Log in to your second Instagram account
- Wait for your contacts to sync

What Clay Does
- Clay automatically creates contacts for the people you choose.
- Clay enriches your contacts where possible with publicly available information from our data providers.
- Clay shows you when your Instagram contacts update their bio. Feed updates appear on the Home page.
- Clay shows you high-signal posts from your Instagram contacts. This includes important life updates, career milestones, big announcements, and more.
What Clay Doesn’t Do
- Clay doesn’t store your Instagram credentials on our servers. Your data stays private on your local device.
- Clay doesn't take actions on your behalf or read your DMs.
