We’ve built direct integrations with many providers and have more on the roadmap, but we can’t build everything. That's why we've built a Make integration that allows you to push data to Clay from thousands of other apps!
What is Make?
Make is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without any coding or relying on us to build the integration. It’s easy enough that anyone can build their own app workflows with just a few clicks.
Because Make allows you to send any type of data from anywhere, it’s basically impossible for us to test every possible permutation! Therefore, treat this as a beta of a beta—let us know if you have any questions, and we’re happy to walk through integrating together to optimize chances for a successful Make setup.
Getting your API Key
- Go to
Settings
on iOS, Mac, Windows, or Web -
Under Integrations, scroll down to the Zapier section (we don't have Make in Settings yet, but the API key is the same). On desktop and web, you can view and copy your API key directly. On iOS, we'll email you your key so you can get set up on your computer.
How to connect to Make
1. On desktop and web, click here to add the Make integration to your account and select Install
2. Check the box next to your org name and click Install
- you'll need to have the right role on your user (admin, owner, or app developer).
3. Click Finish Wizard
to finish:
4. In the sidebar, click Scenarios
and then Create a new scenario
in the top right:
5. Click the plus (+), and then type "Clay" to find the Clay modules. Click on Create or update a contact
to add the module to your scenario:
6. Click Create a connection
to add your Clay API key:
7. Paste your API key in the box and click Save
(you'll be using the same API key as Zapier - see step 2 above).
8. Now you can continue making your scenario!
