Fixing Incorrect Data

Clay automatically imports all your contact data from your integrated accounts.

If something is incorrect, you can edit the card or clear it to have Clay repopulate its info.

Editing Cards

Edit cards to change incorrect data, add information about social profiles, education, and organizations, or update the photo.

On Mac and Web

Clearing Cards

You can quickly remove all information from an incorrectly populated card by using the Clear Card functionality. This wipes the card and allows you to add the correct email and/or social profiles. This triggers Clay fill the card will the correct information based on your

How long will it take?

Depending on the email(s) and social profile(s) you submitted and what your integrations are, it can take up to a few minutes to repopulate the card. If Clay doesn't retrieve new information immediately, check back in 5-10 minutes, and it should be up to date.
